I've been using it for a while but I'm not very impressed with it. The system has a lot of bugs and seems to have indexing issues. Sad because it's the best ecommerce system for Joomla.

I have been using VirtueMart since the old version of Joomla 1.1 and I have only good things to say about VirtueMart.I have build about 20 e commerce websites for people and it has never let me down.
One amazing advantage is that there is a whole lot of South African and International Gateways that plug in and is very stable and robust.

I have been modified the virtuemart component in joomla for one of my clients requirement..where the reqts like
- we will be defining or adding the tournaments with cost,venue,related data in the backend.
-later in the frontend the user can view or add n number of tournaments to the cart later he can check-out or cancel by paying the money which is defined to each of the respective tournaments which will be will be taking to the payment gateway.and other process will be done and i get the acknowledge from the payment gateways.its very secure and nice to work all credits too virtuemart community.
